Hampstead Farms Is Open

Hampstead's Newest Amenity Is Unveiled

Hampstead Farms is a return to Montgomery’s agricultural roots with a focus on growing local, natural, sustainable foods. Local farming is smart, it's responsible, and finally it's hip. It's time we celebrate the farming heritage we all share.

Hampstead Farms is a 3 acre urban farm embedded in the heart of Hampstead's first neighborhood.

It works in two ways. A true working farm, we cultivate seasonal produce and organize educational events for school & community programs. We focus on traditional Southern produce as well as heirloom and distinct varieties of vegetables, fruits, and herbs. Secondly, a community gardens section allows Hampstead residents and workers to grow their own produce at the farm with other neighbors.

The farm will supply local restaurants with seasonal goods, while the Summer Farmers Market in the village square brings together our produce with other local farmers to create a vibrant market selling vegetables, meat, dairy, and other regional items.

The farm features a kitchen garden, raised planting beds, butterfly garden, the great lawn event space, and working barn. Hampstead Farms will be a venue for cooking and gardening demonstrations, dinners, weddings, and community gatherings.

Residents interested in signing up for a gardening bed, please email dan@townofhampstead.com
