Recycle Your Used Cooking Oil This Thanksgiving

Hampstead Institute Partners with SouthernEco on Recycling Project

The Hampstead Institute is partnering with SouthernEco and the City of Montgomery to recycle used cooking oil over the Thanksgiving Holiday.

The scheme was announced at the Mayor's Press Conference Tuesday, November 24th at Hampstead Farms.

SouthernEco is a local bio-diesel company based at Hampstead. It collects grease and recycles into clean burning diesel that can be used in any diesel engine.

The Hampstead Institute is a non-profit organization that supports sustainable ways of living, working, and planning on the local level.

Interested in donating your used oil? Simply bring your oil out to Hampstead Farms and drop in the containers labeled "Drop Oil Here."

Hampstead is located on Taylor Road, 1.5 miles south of the Vaughn Road intersection.
